Tower 1 (Unit 141)
Tower 1 is a 1974 Snorkel, 85' Articulating Boom type aerial. It was
purchased used in 1990 from Hillbilly Fire Apparatus in Peterstown, WV after the
devastating Prichard Elementary fire exposed a weakness in the fire departments

a water tank, so it requires the support of a pumper when it is engaged at an
alarm.

Fire Commission-State Fire Rescue Training when the engine was blown in the departments 1987 F350 rescue

rescue related emergencies.

Firefighters usually use the van to travel to fire schools and to run local errands to save wear and tear on the departments primary vehicles. This vehicle was purchased by and donated to the department by Chaplain Jack McKinney.
